Awadh Centre of Education for Women is run and managed by the Awadh Public Charitable Trust (APCT) an educational NGO with a vision towards promoting Education among women and thereby creating a pool of high quality female teachers of which there is a huge shortage in UP province of India

Our Vision & Missions

Awadh Centre of Education For Women has been established by the Awadh Public Charitable Trust an Educational NGO registered in Basti/ Sant Kabir Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, India This was created in1992 by some highly qualified people and social workers who were known for their contribution in the field of education with the vision to spread education among girls who were deprived of it due to social stigma attached to their school education as well as the non-availability of modern educational facilities in this area.

The members of the APCT realized the importance of female education not only as a powerful force for economic development and achieving social goals such as enhanced health , nutrition, gender equality ,emancipation and civic involvement but also as a matter of respecting a basic human right for the females. ...more

A Message

I wish to extend my warm greetings to the Principal, Teachers, staff and students of Awadh Centre of Education for Women on successful completion of 10 years of its establishment.

It is ,indeed , a privilege to express my gratitude and sincere thanks to those whose unflinching support , motivation and proactive involvement have helped me establish and to run Awadh Centre of Education for Women , a premier institute for girls in this educationally backward area under the aegis of Awadh Public Charitable Trust (regd.) with the vision that education can be used as an important instrument by the women to change their lot and enhance their status in the society who , over the years, were deprived of modern education.

It is only through education that we can hope to eradicate social evils since the essence of education is to become a good human being first and then to ensure social and economic progress. We also need to understand that the cardinal principles of education lies in enjoying every moment of life and in respecting the others.

With these inspirational short notes as to why education is a must for everyone I welcome to all of you in this institution.

Courses Offered

D.El. Ed.)

ACE has also started another teacher training course of D.El.Ed for females from 2010-2011 academic session. D.El. Ed. in the state of U.P. The programm is recognized by National Council for Teacher Education and affiliated to State Council for Educational Research, Lucknow after having fulfilled the prescribed norms and guidelines framed by the latter for the conduct of program by the institution.

D.El. Ed./(D.El.Ed. is a 2 Year Full Time Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) with an annual intake of 50 students
Minimum Qualification for admission in program : 10+2+3 or its equivalent

Bachelor of Arts (Women)

In addition to the teacher training program, the ACE has offered under graduation level degree program in humanities and arts with affiliation to the DDU University –Gorakhpur

Minimum qualification for admission in B.A. :
Candidates should have passed 12th from affiliated college/university with 50% marks.
