Awadh Centre of Education For Women has been established by the APCT -Basti with a vision towards promoting Education among women and thereby creating a pool of high quality female teachers of which there is a huge shortage in UP province of India. It is conducting the following program of teachers education.

Awadh Centre of Education for Women is an educational unit of the Awadh Public Charitable Trust (APCT) is basically an educational NGO that has been set up by some educationists and social workers in Distrct Basti /Sant Kabir Nagar U.P. in the year 1995 with the vision that the education of women is important not only as a matter of respecting a basic human right for the females who were deprived of school education due to social stigma attached to their education in the educationally backward area of district Basti, Uttar Pradesh (U.P) but as a powerful force for economic development and achieving social goals such as enhanced health, nutrition, gender equality ,emancipation and civic involvement.
The members of the APCT are highly qualified, well experienced and known for their commitment and contribution in the field of education.
To give shape to their vision and objectives, the members of the APCT have set up a girls school and a college imparting formal as well as professional educations and training in Sant Kabir Nagar District of U.P.
ACE has also started another teacher training course of D.El.Ed for females from 2010-2011 academic session as D.El.Ed. in the state of U.P. The programm is recognized by National Council for Teacher Education and affiliated to State Council for Educational Research, Lucknow after having fulfilled the prescribed norms and guidelines framed by the latter for the conduct of program by the institution

D.El.Ed./(D.El.Ed. is a 2 Year Full Time Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) with an annual intake of 50 students
Minimum Qualification:
Minimum qualification for admission in program: 10+2+3 or its equivalent
In addition to the teacher training program, the ACE has offered under graduation level degree program in humanities and arts with affiliation to the DDU University –Gorakhpur
Minimum qualification for admission in B.A. :
Candidates should have passed 12th from affiliated college/university with 50% marks.

Established in the year 1994 over the land measuring about 3 acres with the modern building infrastructure and the other necessary facilities including girls hostel and play grounds, the school has been recognized by the UP State Board of Schools for running classes from 6th to 12th standards in the Village Karja of District Sant Kabir Nagar U.P. Since then school has consistently been giving the excellent academic outcomes. As of now, the number of pupils enrolled is over 400.
